Who doesn’t love fashionable things for their horses and themselves? Riding gear and everyday outfits to the barn don’t have to be boring. Fallon Taylor lives up to this by creating her small business called Ranch Dress’n.
Fallon Taylor is known for her bold and colorful outfits at rodeos. In the past, competitors were wearing plain or plaid shirts and denim jeans. Now, it’s very common to see competitors wearing bright and eye-catching patterns from head to toe. After breaking her neck in a riding accident, Fallon has become an advocate for wearing a helmet. It is very common to see no one wearing helmets at a rodeo, but I love how Fallon is making safety the new cool.

When Fallon first started to create her clothing, she hand-dyed jeans to make them tie-dye and was pressing designs onto shirts. People began to fall in love with this different look for the rodeo world, and that is when her business began to take flight.
Ranch Dress’n has many style options for both horse and rider. Who wouldn’t want to match their horse?! No matter what your favorite color is, I think there is a special pattern and style that fits your personality.
A very common product that is available at Ranch Dress’n is the Saddlesack. This is a sack to hold your phone, keys, or whatever else you may have when you’re at the barn. What makes the Saddlesack so unique is the ability to put it on the front of your western saddle. People even use the Saddlesack on the front of their bikes! I personally love the Saddlesack, and they come in many patterns and sizes.
Building a Brand
After launching Ranch Dress’n, Fallon started a brand called Tacktical. Tacktical has everything you could need for your horse, and the sets match the clothing patterns!
Tacktical has grown into having matching headstalls and breast collars, saddle pads, boots, and even bright colorful saddles. If you are a cowgirl who loves to make a statement, these colored saddles do!
Earlier this year Ranch Dress’n launched a line of “Be Your Own Brand” clothing. This was a collaboration between Ranch Dress’n and Annelle & James. This clothing line expresses that not all cowgirls are the same. As said on the clothing, “Cowgirls come in all shapes and sizes. Some train horses, some do ranch work and some are mommas wrangling babies. Other cowgirls work in an office and wrangle clients. Be your own brand of cowgirl.” I think this clothing line is great, because not all cowgirls are alike.
Another favorite of mine is the “Jesus take the Reins” clothing line. This year Ranch Dress’n added shirts with bible verses and encouraging words “strength” and “courageous”. No matter what your style is, Ranch Dress’n has done a great job making your style a reality. Will you be stylish and functional at your next rodeo?
