Let's admit it, most of us wouldn't survive without our daily cup of coffee. Whether you are a busy horse owner, competitor, or stable hand, most of our early mornings start with a cup of coffee. I'll be honest, I've never been a fan of the taste of coffee.. plain coffee that is. However, when syrups, creamers, and flavor combinations come into play... I'm there for it!

In the past couple of years I've become obsessed with coffee. Not plain coffee- lattes, macchiatos, shaken espressos, and more. Your typical coffee run may take you to Starbucks or your local coffee shop that could cost you $5 or more for a cup of coffee. Anytime I would go to a Starbucks or coffee shop, I was so excited to get that perfect drink that would make my day. However, when you see the price of your order, it makes you second guess your coffee ritual.

As a horse owner, I've always been very conservative- trying to save money for my horses' needs before my own. It's no doubt that horses are expensive, and sometimes your daily Starbucks order isn't in the budget. This is when I explored other options of how I could recreate amazing coffee-based drinks at home, for a much lower price. I researched, watched videos, and did experiment recipes. Over the past year, I've improved my skills and you could probably call me an "Equestrian at-home barista." I've fallen in love with creating beautiful drinks at home that don't break the bank, and still give you a tasty and enjoyable treat. I'll admit, coffee is a dessert or my guilty pleasure rather than a boost to my day.

So, without further ado... I've created a place for all horse and coffee lovers to watch, learn, and create amazing drinks at home. As a horse, coffee, and Christ loving young woman, I decided to name this new venture "Trotting on Faith Coffee." I don't know what this will eventually become, but for now, it will be a community where we can all gather to discover recipes that will be easy for all levels of at-home baristas, whether you are a beginner or pro. I'll be sharing what I have learned of how to make great coffee at home and recipes, allowing you to save money for your horse while also having a tasty cup of coffee.
